Our Executive Director, Chris Sheppard, is a familiar face within the Newfoundland and Labrador tourism industry and has more than 25 years of experience under his belt. Along with the many duties associated with leading the team and the DMO, Chris oversees product development in the region and works very closely with his colleagues at the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, and Recreation and other industry partners on municipal, regional, provincial, and federal levels.

Andrew, as Manager of Leisure Travel and Media Relations, works on our programs designed to allow your business to take advantage of the province’s award-winning marketing campaign. By working directly with potential visitors at consumer travel shows, interfacing with travel trading professionals, and hosting accredited travel media producers, Legendary Coasts Members are well represented in the province’s efforts in our key markets. Andrew works closely with NL Tourism, the other four DMOs, and many other partners to ensure that our approach is cohesive, cooperative, efficient, and effective.

Danielle manages our official partnership with Tourism Saint-Pierre et Miquelon and is always happy to chat about ways in which we can work together with our French neighbours to the south. Danielle attends travel and trade shows, works on joint marketing efforts between Saint-Pierre et Miquelon and Newfoundland and Labrador, acts as a Saint-Pierre et Miquelon ambassador in Newfoundland and Labrador and across the country, and helps operators and tourism industry stakeholders from both regions connect to create new and exciting projects and products that enhance our combined tourism offering... among other things! Her efforts are all about ensuring that we work together and draw on our shared histories and unique cultures to entice visitors to travel to our region and to stay there longer. Alicia is the project manager for two marketing projects themed around hiking and geotourism. With an ever growing interest in these activities herself, she's thrilled to have the opportunity to share her love of Newfoundland and Labrador's great outdoors with like-minded travellers in our target markets, primarily across Canada. Often captializing on the mutualistic nature of hiking and geology, Alicia engages with many of our resident hikers to encourage breathtaking content creation showcasing our trails and geodiversity, converses with tourism-based operators to ensure that they are ready for the hiking market, and works closely with industry partners to optimize our efforts. Alicia is always happy to speak with anyone about either the hiking project, the geotourism project, or both!
