Annual General Meeting Held in Manuels -- New Board Elected

On Tuesday, November 17, Legendary Coasts of Eastern Newfoundland held its Annual General Meeting at the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre in Conception Bay South. The room was filled with over 60 members, partners, and guests, and it was a full day of networking, excellent presentations, and, of course, the business of the meeting!

The 2015-2016 board of directors was set, with many Directors returning for new terms, as well as some new faces excited to lend their expertise and knowledge to the LCEN DMO. Your Board of Directors is:

  • Jerry Byrne of Doctor's House Inn and Ocean Delight Cottages - Director at Large (re-elected)
  • Rick Rose of St. Pierre Ferry Office - Director At Large (newly elected)
  • Rick Stanley of Ocean Quest Adventures - Director at Large
  • Irene Hurley of Cashel's Cove Crafts - Director at Large 
  • Brian Rose of Hotel Fortune and Fortune Harbour View - Director at Large (re-elected)
Regional Representatives:
  • Peter Laracy of Cupids Legacy Centre - Representative for Baccalieu Trail 
  • Brenda Stapleton of Marystown Hotel and Convention Centre - Representative for Heritage Run (re-elected)
  • Jane Hynes of The Three Sisters Pub and Restaurant - Representative for Cape Shore
  • Carol Ann Devereaux of Edge of Avalon Inn - Representative for Irish Loop (newly elected)
  • Martha Nelson of HI Skerwink Hostel - Representative for Discovery Trail (newly elected)
The staff and membership of LCEN would like to thank the Directors, both new and returning, for dedicating their time, effort, and energies to the continued economic development of their local areas, the region, and the province through tourism!
